Brewers phenom Jackson Chourio finished 3rd for Rookie of the Year

Milwaukee Brewers phenomenal outfielder Jackson Chourio finished third in the NL Rookie of the Year voting.

The 20-year-old, who went 20-20 this season, was beat out by Pittsburgh Pirates righty, Paul Skenes, who is also a Cy Young candidate, and San Diego Padres centerfielder Jackson Merrill.

For Chourio, who signed a record-breaking $82 million contract extension with the Brewers about a year ago, despite having never played in the major leagues, it could be argued he was the team’s best player this season.
