GROW La Crosse has been connecting youth to healthy foods and nature for over 10 years, supporting meaningful hands-on garden-based learning for youth in the Coulee Region. Partnering with schools in the community, GROW provides garden maintenance and care and garden lessons for those students at that school. They also work out of the greenhouse on Western’s campus and bring students for field trips in the winter months.
GROW’s main goal is to help introduce students and children to where their food comes from, and help encourage them to be active participants in eating healthy food.
