The UW-La Crosse football team has dropped nine spots in the D3 football polls to No. 12 in the country.
That, after the Eagles were upset 30-27 to then-No. 24 UW-Platteville in overtime in front of 4,662 fans at Veterans Memorial Field in La Crosse.
The Pioneers (4-0, 1-0 WIAC) are now ranked right above the Eagles (2-2, 0-1) at No. 11.
Platteville scored a pair of touchdowns late in the fourth quarter — both 85-yard drives — including with 1:18 remaining on a 40-yard score.
