Holmen takes on two-time defending champs to open state tournament Friday

An incredibly tough matchup to open the Division 1 state tournament Friday for the Holmen High School volleyball team.

The eighth-seeded Vikings (24-9) face off against the two-time defending champion Divine Savior Holy Angels (DSHA) at 7:30 p.m. from the Resch Center in Green Bay.

This is the second trip to state in the past three seasons for Holmen. Meanwhile, DSHA (44-1) has been to state each of the past three seasons.
