Wisconsin has a string of 22 consecutive bowl appearances and winning seasons. Both streaks are in jeopardy as the Badgers prepare to close their regular season by hosting Minnesota in the battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe. Wisconsin needs a win to get to .500 and become bowl eligible. Wisconsin’s only path to a winning season is to beat Minnesota and also win its bowl game. A victory by Minnesota would enable the Golden Gophers to tie Football Bowl Subdivision’s most-played series at 63-63-8.
