The La Crosse Steam softball team lost at Mankato on Monday, 11-3.
The loss drops the Steam (10-19) to just under .500 in July at 7-9, after a 3-10 record in June.
La Crosse is back home at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday against Minot at Copeland Park.
