Wisconsin DOT adjusting La Crosse area construction, as state track meet comes to town

Athletes, coaches, parents and spectators should anticipate how they’re getting into La Crosse and UW-L for this week’s WIAA State Track Meet. 

The meet runs happens Friday and Saturday.

With construction projects happening throughout the area, having 20,000 people getting to and from the area could get messy.

WIZM reached out to the Wisconsin DOT to see if any of those projects would be halted for the meet.

This is what the DOT said:

  • Signing and message boards will be deployed on the Interstate and in the city to help direct meet traffic.
